Khichuri Ingredients:
- 2 cups rice
- 2 cups lentils
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 1 tbsp coriander
- 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tbsp cloves
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp garlic
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 big potato cut into cubes
- 1/2 of an onion, 1/4 cup carrot for colour
- 1/2 cup cucumber
- 1 cup cabbage
- 1/2 cup oil
- Other vegetables (optional)
Dim Vaji Ingredients:
- Eggs
- Onions (sliced)
- Salt, pepper, and oil.
Prepare the Khichuri
- Wash the rice, vegetables, and lentils. Then add all the spices and oil to it. Mix it properly and add 5 cups of water.
- Cook it all together in a rice cooker for 60 minutes and your khichuri is ready!
Prepare the Dim Vaji:
- Take 2 eggs and break them in a bowl. Add precut onions. Apply salt and pepper for taste. Fry together in a frying pan with oil until cooked. Your Dim Vaji is ready!
Serve the Dim Vaji with Khichuri. This dish is a specialty & popular on rainy days in Bangladesh!
