AYUSA International received its first grant from the United States Department of State in 1983. Since then, we have administered over fifteen different grant programs to help meet our academic youth exchange goals to strengthen understanding and build relations among cultures and countries around the world.

Today, AYUSA administers four grant programs funded by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, U.S. Department of State.


AYUSA is designated by the U.S. Department of State as an Exchange Visitor Program Sponsor

 

The Freedom Support Act / Future Leaders Exchange Program (FLEX) enables over 1200 high school students from the newly independent states of the former Soviet Union to live with families and attend school in the United States each year.

The Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Program allows qualified high school students from countries with significant Muslim populations to spend one academic year in the United States.

The Linking Individuals, Knowledge and Culture Program (LINC) provides a 4-week direct exchange experience for American and Moroccan youth.

The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (CBYX) is the premier direct exchange program between American and German high school students.
