Dear Host Family, I'm Nike, I grew up in Germany and later moved to the Netherlands. Firstly I want to thank you for taking your time and reading my letter. My love for sports of any kind is big. The biggest hobby of mine is riding horses. I've been around them since I could think. I also play soccer, in the winter time I go skiing with my family and in the summer you will always find me at the water, surfing or stand up paddling. Another passion of mine is acting and everything that has to do with filmmaking. On the other hand I know how to spend my time alone, reading or doing something creative. I am open to meet new people, try new activities and learn about the culture of the United States. When I moved to the Netherlands five years ago, learning a new language and adapting to a new environment was quite easy for me. I live in the southern part of the Netherlands together with my big brother Janis and my Dad Ralph. I am independent but also like to be around family and friends. Being part of your family, experiencing your everyday life and getting to know your traditions is my motivation for this program.
