Dear Host Family, Thank you so much for being willing to participate in the exchange program and accepting me to live with your family. I am a Brazilian girl and I am going to my last year in high school. I’ve always wanted to explore new places and have new experiences. I really want to learn more about the American culture. I love books, music and cinema. I am not the most outgoing person but I am often described as a very lovely, respectful, caring and happy girl. I am also a creative and artistic person. I enjoy going out for walks and I also like swimming. I love cats, they are my favorite animal but I really like animals in general. I speak Portuguese and I am looking forward to became fluent in English. I am a volunteer in Brazil and I really want to continue participating in these activities in the U.S as it makes me happy to help other people, especially those in need. I’ve always liked to act and I hope to join a drama club, but I am also interested in trying other things and joining other school clubs. I live with my mom and my stepfather, I love them very much and we are always taking care of each other. I am also very close to my grandma, she is a very lovely person and it’s always here for me. We are a happy family and I hope to become part of your family as well. I really appreciate the Brazilian culture, such as our food, our language, our music and our festivals.
